About Time! U.S. Sends a Clear Message to Iran with Aircraft Carrier Deployment

The Biden administration is scrambling to cover up its failures by hastily deploying an aircraft carrier strike group to the Middle East. This sudden move comes as Iran and its puppet, Hezbollah, are gearing up to strike Israel. Let’s not pretend this is anything less than a desperate attempt to look tough after endless hand-wringing and appeasement from Washington.

The Pentagon released a statement claiming the U.S. is taking “every possible step to defend Israel,” which is laughable considering the lack of real action in the past. After chatting with Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, Secretary Lloyd Austin decided to bolster U.S. military forces in the region. It’s about time, right? The USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN Carrier Strike Group, loaded with F-35C fighters, is now rushing to the Middle East, along with the USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT Carrier Strike Group. And let’s not forget the USS Georgia, a guided missile submarine, that’s also joining the party. But isn’t it convenient that this happens when things are heating up?

This comes on the heels of Israel taking out Fuad Shukr, Hezbollah’s top military commander. This guy wasn’t just some foot soldier; he was the mastermind behind countless attacks on Israel, including the carnage after Hamas’ October 7 terror rampage that killed 1,200 innocent Israelis and left thousands wounded. Shukr had been on the U.S. government’s radar for decades, with a $5 million bounty on his head for orchestrating the 1983 bombing of the U.S. Marine Corps Barracks in Beirut, which killed 241 American service members. Israel did the world a favor by eliminating him, but let’s not overlook how the U.S. should have handled this a long time ago.

Adding fuel to the fire, Israel also reportedly took out Hamas terrorist leader Ismail Haniyeh in Iran last month. Haniyeh was enjoying some R&R at a guest house when he was blown to bits, courtesy of Israeli intelligence.

And now, with a likely coordinated attack from Iran and Hezbollah looming this week, the U.S. is suddenly in panic mode. This could have been prevented with a more assertive stance from the beginning. But instead, we get half-measures and a rushed military deployment. Here’s hoping it’s not too little, too late.
