The modern Democrat Party has become so radicalized that it is not even recognizable to anyone in Generation X or older. They have lurched so far to the left that even a Kennedy has endorsed Donald Trump for president this year. So has former Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard. Another Democrat announced that she would vote for President Trump and that she would no longer be a member of the current party, too.

Former California State Senator Gloria Romero says that the Democrats today are no longer the same party that she “once championed.” Romero is a lifelong Democrat. She was in the California legislature for ten years and spent four years as Senate Majority Leader for the Democrats, from 2005 through 2008.

In her announcement that she had switched parties, Romero noted that Donald Trump is now the champion of the working people of America. She didn’t have anything kind to say about Kamala Harris.

Romero noted that while Harris was California’s Attorney General, she championed a new law to arrest black single moms if their kids skip too much school. In Kamala’s hometown of Oakland, 75% of black and Hispanic kids cannot do math or read at the most basic, elementary proficiency levels. Romero adds that Harris has done nothing to open up school choice for California parents and hasn’t bothered to fight for anything that improves people’s lives.

Romero isn’t even the first California Democrat to announce that she’s changing her party registration this year. California State Sen. Marie Alvarado-Gil announced back in August that she was switching parties because the modern Democrat Party is now unrecognizable.
