In the latest episode of ‘Guess Who’s Knocking at Israel’s Door?’, the Pentagon spills the tea on U.S. forces playing superheroes to intercept missiles and drones from every direction. Here’s the scoop on the latest intel: U.S. Forces are on high alert, actively protecting Israel.

The Pentagon has reported that U.S. forces intercepted a significant number of missiles and drones launched from multiple countries, including Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Yemen, with targets directed towards Israel. Approximately a quarter of the missiles and drones bound for Israel from Iran were downed by American forces on Saturday evening, Central Command said Sunday.

During a recent large-scale attack, it was reported that around 350 missiles and drones were launched toward Israel. However, American and European-allied destroyers were able to successfully intercept 80 Iranian attack drones and at least six ballistic missiles that were bound for Israel from Iran and Yemen.

As tensions escalate in the region, President Biden has assured unwavering American support for Israel’s defense against any aggression from Iran and its affiliated groups. This recent attack marks the first direct military assault by Iran on Israel, raising concerns about the potential for broader regional conflict.

Despite the above, not all Democrats are singing Biden’s praises. Apparently, Biden’s definition of “unwavering support” is not what it implies. Fetterman’s take? It’s a real eye-roller. He’s shocked that there’s even a shred of doubt about standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Israel. Fetterman said that Saturday’s attack “really demonstrates how it’s astonishing that we are not standing firmly with Israel, and there should never be any kind of conditions on all that. When a nation can launch hundreds of drones towards Israel, I’m not going to be talking about conditions, ever.”

It seems that Fetterman made the statement in response to a report claiming that President Biden told the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a private call that the United States would not initiate any offensive actions against Iran.

The anticipation of an attack had been building for days following Iran’s declaration of retaliation for an Israeli strike on an Iranian consular building in Syria, resulting in casualties, including senior Iranian military figures.

To bolster Israel’s defense, President Biden announced the deployment of American aircraft and ballistic missile defense destroyers to the region. These reinforcements, coupled with the skill of U.S. service members, successfully intercepted the majority of incoming drones and missiles.

While Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin confirmed the neutralization of numerous attacks, specific details regarding the military assets involved were not disclosed. The readiness of U.S. troops remains intact to protect allies in the region and support Israel’s defense efforts, with a focus on maintaining regional stability.

President Biden’s urgent return from a weekend retreat underscored the gravity of the situation, prompting immediate consultations with his national security team. A meeting of the National Security Council was convened to assess the evolving crisis before engaging in discussions with Israeli officials.

In response to the attack, President Biden affirmed Israel’s capability to defend against such threats, emphasizing a resolute message to adversaries. Additionally, plans for a coordinated diplomatic response involving the Group of Seven advanced democracies were announced.

Both the Pentagon and National Security Council reiterated the commitment to Israel’s security, praising the collaborative efforts to thwart the Iranian attack. Senior U.S. officials echoed messages of solidarity and support for Israel. However, Biden ignored a question about what would trigger a direct U.S. military response.

Meanwhile, the U.S. has issued warnings to Iran, along with its allies, urging restraint to prevent further escalation. The ongoing conflict in Gaza has seen frequent clashes between Israeli forces and Iran-backed militant groups, exacerbating tensions in the region.

Despite diplomatic efforts, incidents of violence persist, including the seizure of an Israeli-affiliated container ship by Iranian commandos near the Strait of Hormuz. The United States condemned this action, calling for the immediate release of the vessel and its crew.

In addition to the drone attack, heightened violence erupted in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, marking a troubling escalation in hostilities since the onset of the conflict with Hamas.
